Civil Defense issues early warning in Riyadh and Najran

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued an alert through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies in Riyadh and Najran, warning of a potential threat on Thursday evening.

Civil Defense urged residents to remain calm, follow official instructions, immediately move to the nearest safe place inside a building or interior room away from windows, and stay there until the danger has passed. People were advised not to leave their homes or buildings before it is safe to do so.

Authorities stressed the importance of avoiding open areas and glass, not standing on balconies or rooftops, and for those outdoors, to enter the nearest building or shelter behind a solid barrier. Gathering, taking photos, and approaching dangerous sites were strongly discouraged.

Anyone receiving the warning while driving was advised to pull over safely away from bridges and tall buildings. In case of danger, residents should call the emergency number 911 in Riyadh and 998 in Najran, and follow instructions from official channels.

Civil Defense also warned that photographing, publishing, or sharing information related to the interception of missiles or drones and their impact sites could result in legal consequences.
