Makkah Buses has released a guide detailing bus routes and stations near schools to help students and parents prepare for the upcoming school year.
Key Takeaways
AIUnder the slogan "How to reach your school," Makkah Buses has prepared for the return of students to schools in Makkah by issuing a guide with information on schools located near the Makkah Buses network’s routes and stations. The aim is to help students and parents learn about available transportation options at the start of the academic year.
According to a statement from the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites on its X platform account, the guide explains how to reach schools using the bus network. Users can search for their school’s name, identify the route number and color, and locate the nearest station, in addition to finding the approximate walking distance from the station to the school.
The guide covers schools in several neighborhoods and areas of Makkah served by the network, including Batha Quraysh, Aziziyah, Al-Akayshiyah, Jarwal, Kuday, Ajyad, Al-Awali, Al-Rusaifah, Umm Al-Joud, Al-Shara’i, Jaranah, the University District, and Al-Shuhada. It specifies the station number and the distance between each station and the listed schools, providing students with guidance before using the buses.
Makkah Buses is also offering a 50% discount on tickets and packages for students in Makkah, to support and facilitate their daily commutes to and from school.
The release of the guide is part of Makkah Buses’ preparations—an initiative of the General Transport Center—for the new school year, providing route and station information to help students and parents plan suitable journeys to schools within the Makkah Buses network.
