Arab Parliament condemns Israeli airstrikes on Syria’s Abu al-Duhur airbase

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, has condemned Israeli airstrikes targeting Abu al-Duhur military airport in Idlib province, Syria, describing the attack as a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a dangerous escalation threatening regional security and stability.

In a statement issued today, Al Yamahi affirmed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Syria in the face of repeated Israeli assaults, warning that the continuation of such attacks undermines efforts to stabilize the region and risks further escalation.

Call for international action

The Arab Parliament Speaker called on the international community and the UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities and take decisive measures to halt these violations and prevent their recurrence, stressing Syria’s legitimate right to defend its sovereignty and national interests in accordance with international law and norms.

Al Yamahi also emphasized the need to end Israeli attacks on Syria and other countries in the region, in order to safeguard regional security and stability.
