The National Center for Meteorology has forecast in its weather report that moderate to heavy thunderstorms will continue across parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders regions. These conditions may lead to flash flooding, with a chance of hail and strong winds stirring dust and sand, causing near-zero horizontal visibility.

The report added that light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Madinah and Hail, while there remains a chance of rain-bearing thunderclouds forming over the southern parts of the Eastern Province. Fog formation is also possible overnight and during early morning hours along the coastal areas of the Eastern Province.

Winds and sea conditions

The center noted that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 18–38 km/h, and northwesterly to southwesterly at 15–30 km/h, shifting to westerly to southwesterly at 10–25 km/h. Wind speeds may exceed 60 km/h during thunderstorms. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one meter, rising to over two meters with thunderclouds, and sea conditions will vary from slight to rough.

In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 10–30 km/h, and northwesterly to northeasterly at 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h during thunderstorms. Waves will range from half a meter to one meter, increasing to over two meters with thunderclouds, and sea conditions will be slight to rough.
