Turaif municipality steps up preparations for 96th Saudi National Day

The Northern Borders Municipality, represented by the Turaif Municipality, continues its field efforts in preparation for the Saudi National Day, by upgrading roads, squares, and public spaces, and enhancing festive displays to reflect national pride and improve the urban landscape of the governorate.

Turaif has been adorned with more than 500 flags, 35 illuminated sculptures in public squares and roundabouts featuring the National Day identity, and over 11,000 meters of decorative bands on light poles, palm trees, and other trees. Several spotlights have been lit in green, and a number of government buildings and public facilities have been illuminated in green as well. In addition, a series of activities and events are being held to mark the occasion and foster a sense of belonging and loyalty to the nation and its leadership.

These efforts are part of an integrated plan implemented by the municipality to prepare for Saudi National Day across all cities and governorates in the region. The plan includes ensuring the readiness of key sites, improving the urban environment, increasing care for public spaces, and promoting national identity in various locations, all aimed at providing a distinctive festive atmosphere for residents and visitors.

Municipal field teams continue to monitor and inspect targeted locations to ensure the readiness of national displays, the safety of facilities, and the ongoing cleanliness and maintenance of public spaces, thereby enhancing the overall appearance and maintaining the city’s urban image throughout the celebrations.

The municipality emphasized that these efforts are part of its responsibility to prepare cities and public facilities for national occasions, enhance quality of life, and create an urban environment that reflects the significance of the event and the values of national pride and achievement, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
