Four arrested in Jazan for smuggling 80 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Dayer sector of Jazan region have arrested four individuals of Ethiopian and Yemeni nationality for violating border security regulations and attempting to smuggle 80 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement posted by the Border Guard on its X platform account, initial legal procedures have been completed, and the suspects and seized materials have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge all citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions, as well as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995, or by email at (Email:[email protected]).
