Algeria on Monday strongly condemned the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in the deaths of 12 civilians, including Saudi nationals and foreigners, and left more than 300 people injured.

In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Algeria described the assault as "brutal," calling it a blatant violation of all international norms, the United Nations Charter, and international humanitarian law. The statement also said the attack represented a flagrant breach of the safety of civilians and air navigation, as guaranteed by international civil aviation agreements, and a threat to both regional and international security and stability.

Algeria reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and categorically rejected any actions that undermine the Kingdom's sovereignty, territorial integrity, or the safety and security of its citizens and residents.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation had earlier announced, in a follow-up statement regarding the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday, 29 Rabi' al-Thani 1448 AH (October 10, 2026), that 12 people were killed. The victims included two Saudi citizens, eight Bangladeshis, one American, and one Egyptian national.

The authority also reported that the attack injured 309 people, including 12 Sudanese, one American, one Egyptian, one Ukrainian, one Syrian, one Palestinian, and one Saudi national.
