Two Holy Mosques’ Care Authority Participates in Second Islamic Art Conference Exhibitions

The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque is participating in the exhibitions held during the second edition of the Islamic Art Conference, which opened at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran on Sunday.

The authority seeks to enrich the experience of the visitors through its participation in the conference’s accompanying exhibitions.

The conference this year coincides with the designation of 2025 as the year of handicrafts in Saudi Arabia, which is aimed at supporting cultural heritage and raising awareness about the prominence of Saudi crafts.

The event brings together art historians, academics, curators, museum directors, and representatives of charitable organizations from around the world to explore new trends in contemporary craft practices in Muslim communities.

More than 50 participants and 27 speakers, along with representatives from over 13 countries, are taking part in the conference.
