Riyadh governor: Royal address reflects leadership’s commitment to nation’s progress, citizens’ welfare

Riyadh Governor Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz praised the contents of the royal address delivered on behalf of King Salman by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman at the opening of the third year of the ninth session of the Shoura Council.

He affirmed that the royal speech embodied the steadfast approach of the Kingdom’s leadership in upholding the nation’s core principles based on Islamic law, justice, and consultation, as well as pride in serving the Two Holy Mosques, while continuing comprehensive development and enhancing citizens’ welfare.

The governor highlighted that the address included indicators reflecting the strength of the national economy and the achievements of Saudi Vision 2030 over the past ten years, including attaining 93% of performance targets for Vision programs and strategies, and a 155% increase in non-oil exports compared to 2016. He stressed that citizens have been the foundation and focus of these successes.

He added that the speech’s emphasis on developing national capabilities, empowering promising sectors, attracting investment, and directing resources toward high-impact areas reflects an ambitious development vision aimed at sustaining achievements and improving quality of life, noting the continued priority given to education and health sectors.

The Riyadh governor also stated that the address’s positions on regional issues demonstrate the Kingdom’s consistent policy of supporting security and stability, championing just causes, backing diplomatic solutions, and firmly safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and interests against any threats.

He concluded by affirming that the royal address outlined a renewed phase of national action, placing citizens at the forefront, with the nation’s advancement and prosperity as the ultimate goal, embodying a visionary leadership guiding Saudi Arabia steadily toward a more prosperous and leading future.
