Minister of Islamic Affairs launches 1448H Dawah Calendar project

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh launched the 1448H Dawah Calendar project at the ministry’s headquarters yesterday, as part of efforts to develop religious outreach and improve the effectiveness of dawah programs.

The Dawah Calendar outlines the distribution of targeted outreach programs for 1448H, featuring a variety of activities including lectures, seminars, lessons, speeches, forums, as well as specialized and digital dawah programs included in the calendar.

This diversity reflects the ministry’s commitment to offering a range of outreach methods and ensuring their integration, helping to deliver its message, meet the needs of different segments of society, enhance religious awareness, and promote Islamic values and the principles of moderation.

The Dawah Calendar serves as an organizational reference for outreach activities throughout 1448H, supporting improved coordination and integration between branches and raising performance quality, which positively impacts the outcomes and societal influence of dawah work. The calendar includes 371 topics and 40 scientific days, with the number of beneficiaries expected to exceed 8,767,679 people.

Last year, the ministry organized 123,539 lectures, 97,480 lessons, 133,711 speeches, 3,056 outreach meetings, 1,718 seminars, and 2,658 scientific courses. Additionally, 92,786 digital and outreach messages were broadcast, 55,883 activities focused on creed, around 27,556 on moderation, and 34,392 general programs were implemented.

In the field of intellectual security, 43,201 programs were held, along with 21,214 initiatives to counter intellectual deviations and 19,091 programs promoting Islamic values.

The Dawah Calendar features weekly and monthly programs covering all months of the Hijri year, addressing topics such as creed, worship, ethics, family, homeland, intellectual security, the Holy Qur’an, and the Sunnah. It also includes the "Scientific Day" program, which focuses on teaching approved texts and scholarly books to enrich outreach content, raise the scientific level of preachers, and enhance program quality.
