Saudi ambassador visits Grand Mufti of Tripoli in Lebanon

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari visited Grand Mufti of Tripoli and the North Sheikh Mohammad Imam today at the Dar Al-Fatwa headquarters in Tripoli, northern Lebanon.

The meeting included cordial discussions and an exchange of views on current developments in Lebanon and the wider region, as well as issues concerning the city of Tripoli.

Also present were Sheikh Bilal Baroudi, Secretary of Fatwa in Tripoli; Sheikh Bassam Al-Bustani, Head of the Awqaf Department; Metropolitan Ephraim Kyriakos, head of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Tripoli; representatives from the Maronite and Melkite Greek Catholic archdioceses of Tripoli; and representatives of Sheikh Ali Kadour, head of the Alawite Islamic Council.

Sheikh Imam expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in supporting Lebanon and helping the country overcome its crisis.

Later, Ambassador Al-Dosari performed Friday prayers at Al-Wafaa Mosque in Tripoli, where the Grand Mufti led the congregation and delivered the sermon.
