Traffic authority urges drivers to check tires during rainy weather

The General Directorate of Traffic has emphasized the importance of maintaining vehicle tires, particularly during rainy weather, due to their crucial role in improving road safety and reducing the risk of accidents.

In a statement posted on its X platform account, the authority explained that quality tires help reduce the likelihood of skidding, improve vehicle stability on wet roads, and shorten stopping distances, giving drivers better control in changing weather conditions.

The General Directorate of Traffic urged motorists to regularly inspect their tires, check tread depth, and ensure air pressure is set according to approved specifications. Drivers are also advised to adhere to speed limits and maintain a safe distance, especially during rainfall.
