Blood donation a continuous humanitarian act, not just for emergencies: expert

Laboratory specialist Nasreen Abu Al-Jadayel said that blood donation is not just a response to emergencies, but an ongoing humanitarian practice.

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya TV, she added that donating blood helps save lives and strengthens the healthcare sector’s readiness to provide blood and its components whenever needed.

Abu Al-Jadayel noted that national blood donation campaigns have shifted the concept from a temporary reaction to emergencies to a community culture based on giving, responsibility, correcting misconceptions, and reaching wider segments of society.
