Saudi Cabinet approves national policy to boost emergency safety in public places, workplaces

Saudi Arabia's Cabinet, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approved the national policy to enhance emergency response safety in public places and workplaces during its session held today in Jeddah.

As part of international cooperation efforts, the Cabinet approved two memorandums of understanding between the General Court of Audit and the audit offices of Cyprus and Gambia, aimed at strengthening collaboration in accounting, oversight, and professional fields.

The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, who also chairs the Social Development Bank, or a designated representative, to discuss a draft agreement with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development to enhance technical assistance and capacity building for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Minister of Education, who also chairs the National Center for E-Learning, or a delegate, was also authorized to discuss a memorandum of understanding with the Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education for cooperation in the field of e-learning.

Additionally, the Cabinet authorized the Minister of Health, or a representative, to discuss and sign a memorandum of understanding with Portugal's Ministry of Health for cooperation in health sectors.

In the transport sector, the Cabinet authorized the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, or a delegate, to sign the draft United Nations convention on negotiable shipping documents, as adopted by the UN General Assembly.
