Regional dust storm center records 77 hours of dust events in August

The Regional Center for Dust and Sandstorms announced that 77 hours of dust events were recorded across the region on August 3, 2026.

According to the center, Saudi Arabia topped the list with 20 hours of dust storms, followed by the UAE with 17 hours and Iraq with 14 hours.

The report noted that Yemen experienced 10 hours of dust events, Uzbekistan 8 hours, and Iran 6 hours, while Jordan recorded only 2 hours.

No dust events were reported in other countries in the region during the same period.
