Saudi Arabia condemns drone attacks on oil facilities by Iran-backed militias in Iraq

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the ongoing use of drones by Iran-backed militias in Iraq to target oil facilities in the Kingdom's Eastern Province.

In a statement, the ministry reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's determination to safeguard its security and sovereignty, stressing its legitimate right to take all necessary measures to respond to acts of aggression and deter attackers.

The Foreign Ministry also reiterated the need for the Iraqi government to take all necessary steps to prevent its territory from being used as a launchpad for such attacks and to ensure these incidents are not repeated.
