Thunderstorm rain forecast to persist in parts of Saudi Arabia through week’s end

The National Center for Meteorology has confirmed that the likelihood of thunderstorms will persist in some regions of Saudi Arabia until the end of this week, according to the Saudi numerical weather model.

In a statement on its X platform account, the center said rain is expected to continue in the regions of Asir, Jazan, Al-Baha, and the highlands of Makkah, with the impact extending to the Najran region.

The center also noted the appearance of clouds over the Eastern Province and Riyadh, which may bring light rain, especially in their southern parts.
