Saudi Cabinet reviews efforts to secure Gulf and Red Sea waterways

The Cabinet reviewed the ongoing efforts by Saudi Arabia, in coordination and consultation with allied and friendly countries, to de-escalate tensions in the region and ensure the security of maritime passages in the Arabian Gulf and Red Sea. The session, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, was held today in Jeddah. The Cabinet also reaffirmed support for all initiatives that contribute to regional and international stability.

The Cabinet emphasized Saudi Arabia's commitment to promoting dialogue, diplomacy, and enhanced international cooperation, particularly as the region faces a critical juncture. The Council stressed the importance of establishing a regional order based on the core principles of the United Nations Charter, including respect for state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, good neighborliness, freedom of navigation, and adherence to international law.
