Organic farming forum to open in Unaizah under Qassim governor’s patronage

The Organic Farming Forum will open on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the National Center for Organic Agriculture in Unaizah, under the patronage of Qassim Governor Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz. The event is held under the theme, “We farm with awareness… we reap a healthy environment.”

The opening ceremony will be attended by the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture for Agriculture, Suleiman bin Ali Al-Khathib, and Unaizah Governor Saad bin Abdullah Al-Sulaim.

The forum is part of ongoing efforts to promote organic farming practices, support sustainable agricultural production, and preserve natural resources, with participation from farmers and stakeholders in the sector.

Running for three days, the event will feature scientific sessions, practical workshops, an exhibition of organic products, and awareness booths.

The forum will also launch specialized programs for farmers, operate a mobile agricultural analysis laboratory, and see the signing of several partnership and cooperation agreements with relevant entities to enhance integration and knowledge exchange among participants.

Activities will highlight the importance of raising consumer awareness about the benefits of organic products, promoting responsible consumption, and spreading integrated crop management concepts in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals for environmental preservation, resource conservation, and quality of life improvement.

Farmers, researchers, stakeholders, and all segments of society are invited to attend, benefit from the scientific and practical programs, and visit the accompanying organic products exhibition.
