Strong winds forecast for Eastern Province until 10 p.m., warns NCM

The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) on Tuesday issued a warning of strong winds affecting several cities and governorates in the Eastern Province, including Dammam, Dhahran, Hafar Al-Batin, Khafji, Nairyah, Qaryat Al-Ulya, Ras Tanura, Jubail, Qatif, Alkhobar, Buqayq, Al Udeid, Al-Ahsa, and surrounding villages and centers.

The NCM said wind speeds are expected to range between 50 and 59 kilometers per hour, which may stir up dust and cause suspended particles, reducing horizontal visibility to between 1 and 3 kilometers, especially in open areas and on highways.

The center added that these weather conditions are expected to continue until 10 p.m. tonight.
