Saudi leaders offer condolences to Chinese president on death of former premier

King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a cable of condolences to President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China following the death of former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji.

In his message, King Salman said: "We received the news of the passing of former Premier Zhu Rongji of the People's Republic of China. We extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to Your Excellency, the family of the deceased, and the friendly people of China, wishing you continued safety and that you see no further sorrow."

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman also sent a cable of condolences to President Xi Jinping.

The Crown Prince said: "I received the news of the passing of former Premier Zhu Rongji of the People's Republic of China. I extend my heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to Your Excellency and the entire family of the deceased, wishing you continued health and safety, and that you experience no further loss."
