Traffic authority outlines main types of road signs in awareness campaign

The General Directorate of Traffic has released an awareness video highlighting the main categories of road signs, emphasizing that following these signs ensures the safety of drivers and all road users.

According to a statement posted on its X account, the authority detailed four main categories:

First: Warning signs, which alert drivers to potential hazards on the road, such as slippery surfaces, lane narrowing, steep inclines, and speed bumps.

Second: Regulatory signs, which specify rules and regulations to be followed, including no U-turns, maximum speed limits, and lane assignments.

Third: Guide signs, which provide directional information about services and locations, such as Red Crescent stations, fuel stations, and tunnels.

Fourth: Work zone and temporary signs, which warn drivers and direct traffic in areas with roadworks or maintenance.
