Citizen arrested in Asir for unlicensed camping

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have detained a citizen for violating environmental regulations by camping without a permit in the Asir region. Legal procedures have been taken against the individual.

Authorities stated that camping in forests or national parks without a permit carries a fine of up to 3,000 riyals (SAR). The public is urged to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality, and informants will bear no responsibility.
