Qassim governor attends Al-Zakir Award ceremony honoring top students in Unaizah

Qassim Governor Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz attended the annual Al-Zakir Award ceremony on Wednesday, honoring outstanding students for the 1446 academic year at the Qassim Science Center in Unaizah.

During the ceremony, the governor emphasized that recognizing high-achieving students is a message of appreciation for diligence and a motivation to continue pursuing academic excellence. He noted that the leadership’s support for education has helped create an encouraging learning environment and build a generation equipped with knowledge, creativity, and competitiveness.

He said: “Our outstanding students are a source of pride, and their achievements are the result of hard work and the beginning of greater ambitions in their academic and professional journeys.” He stressed that investing in people, their education, and empowerment is fundamental to shaping the nation’s future, and he valued every effort that encourages and motivates young men and women to excel and achieve.

The governor praised the Al-Zakir Award as a community initiative that promotes a culture of excellence and honors outstanding role models. He commended the organizers for their contributions in supporting and encouraging students, and highlighted the importance of cooperation between families, schools, and society in nurturing talented individuals and developing their abilities.

The ceremony included a speech by top student Ilyas bin Mohammed Al-Adhami, who expressed the students’ pride in receiving this recognition and how it motivates them to continue their educational journey and achieve further success.
