Muslim World League condemns Houthi statements against Saudi Arabia

The Muslim World League has strongly condemned the statements made by the Houthi terrorist militia against Saudi Arabia.

In a statement from its General Secretariat, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced what he described as false allegations made by the so-called military spokesperson of the terrorist militia. He said the group has brought only death and destruction to Yemen, making the Yemeni people—their resources, stability, and livelihoods—the first victims of its crimes, violations, and reckless interference in regional conflicts, all in pursuit of its sectarian agendas and narrow political goals. He also cited the militia’s attacks on the Yemeni people, targeting of infrastructure including civilian airports, oil export facilities, government buildings, and commercial vessels in the Red Sea.

Al-Issa stressed that the Yemeni people, along with the wider Islamic world and the international community, recognize these allegations as nothing more than a desperate attempt by the terrorist group to distract from its own crimes, cover up its crises, and evade responsibility for the catastrophic situation it has created in Yemen—especially in areas under its control—due to its violations, poor governance, and exploitation of the Yemeni people and their resources.

He emphasized that these false claims are contradicted by reality and refuted by established facts, some of which were highlighted by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its condemnation of the Houthi militia spokesperson’s statements. The ministry affirmed that, over the past years, Saudi Arabia has worked alongside Yemen’s legitimate government to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people through ongoing development projects, support for the Yemeni government’s budget, provision of fuel for power stations, and continuous backing of all UN efforts to achieve peace in Yemen. This steadfast approach, the statement noted, is recognized by Islamic countries, international organizations, and the global community as Saudi Arabia’s genuine commitment to supporting the Yemeni people.
