Civil Defense issues early warning for Jeddah, Taif and Makkah

Saudi Civil Defense has issued an alert through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies in Jeddah, Makkah and Taif, warning citizens and residents of a potential threat and urging everyone to follow official safety instructions to ensure their well-being.

The Civil Defense emphasized the importance of staying calm and immediately moving to the nearest safe place inside a building or an interior room away from windows, and remaining there until the danger has passed. It also stressed not to leave homes or buildings until it is confirmed that the emergency situation has ended.

Safety guidelines during the alert

The Civil Defense advised people to avoid open areas and glass, and not to stand on balconies or rooftops. Those outdoors were urged to enter the nearest building or take cover behind a solid barrier.

Additionally, the Civil Defense called on the public to avoid gathering or taking photos during the alert, and to stay away from hazardous locations upon receiving the warning message. Drivers who receive the alert while on the road were advised to pull over safely away from bridges and tall buildings.
