Above-average rainfall expected across Saudi Arabia in October

The National Center for Meteorology has forecast above-average rainfall across wide areas of Saudi Arabia in October, with indications that rain may continue into November.

Center spokesperson Hussein Al-Qahtani said the regions likely to see increased rainfall include Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan, Najran, Qassim, Hail, the Eastern Province, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, and the Northern Borders, noting that the amount and likelihood of rain will vary from one area to another.

Al-Qahtani explained that these forecasts are based on ongoing climate indicators monitored by the center. He added that details regarding the timing and distribution of rainfall events will become clearer as the periods of impact approach, according to the latest meteorological and climate data.

He also stated that the center will issue detailed reports on expected rainfall, including affected areas, timing, and developments. The public is urged to follow official reports and bulletins from the center for the latest updates on weather conditions.
