Strong winds and rising temperatures expected across several regions Wednesday

The National Center for Meteorology has forecast in its weather report for Wednesday that strong winds raising dust and sand will affect parts of the Makkah, Madinah, and Tabuk regions, with near-zero horizontal visibility expected along some coastal areas.

High temperatures will persist in the Eastern Province and parts of Riyadh, Makkah, and Madinah. There remains a chance of thunderclouds with rain and strong winds over parts of Najran, Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, as well as southern areas of Riyadh and the Eastern Province.

The center noted that surface winds over the Red Sea will be westerly to west at 12–35 km/h in the northern part and 25–50 km/h in the central and southern parts. Wave heights will range from half a meter to 1.5 meters in the north, and from 1.5 to 2.5 meters in the central and southern sections. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the north, and moderate to rough in the central and southern parts.

As for the Arabian Gulf, winds will be westerly to northwesterly, turning at night to southeasterly to southwesterly in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southwesterly turning in the evening to northwesterly to southwesterly in the southern part, at speeds of 10–28 km/h. Wave heights will be from half a meter to one meter, with slight sea conditions.
