Three Ethiopians arrested in Jazan for smuggling 60 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Dayer sector of Jazan region have arrested three Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 60 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

The Border Guard announced on its official X account that initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both they and the seized contraband have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or (999) and (994) in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at (995) or via email at ([email protected]). All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
