Thunderstorms, hail and strong winds forecast for several regions Tuesday

The National Center of Meteorology has forecast continued moderate to heavy thunderstorms on Tuesday, accompanied by hail and strong winds stirring dust and sand, affecting parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah. Lighter to moderate rainfall is expected in parts of Madinah. Fog formation is also possible in these areas, as well as along the eastern coastal region.

According to the center, surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds between 20 and 40 km/h, and northwesterly to northeasterly at 10 to 30 km/h, exceeding 50 km/h during thunderstorm activity. Wave heights will range from half a meter to 1.5 meters, reaching over 2 meters with thunderstorms. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate, becoming rough during thunderstorms.

In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to northerly at 10 to 35 km/h, shifting to northeasterly to easterly and then to northwesterly after noon at 10 to 25 km/h. Wave heights will be between half a meter and one meter, with slight sea conditions expected.
