Jeddah Border Guard detains citizens for violating marine safety rules

Coastal patrols from the Border Guard in Jeddah, Makkah region, have detained two citizens for violating marine safety and security regulations in Saudi waters. The individuals were caught fishing without a permit and using prohibited equipment. Legal procedures were taken against them in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Border Guard urged the public to comply with regulations protecting marine life and to report any violations affecting the environment or wildlife. Reports can be made by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions. The Border Guard assured that all reports will be handled confidentially and without liability for the informant.
