Saudi passport authority urges citizens to safeguard passports at home and abroad

The General Directorate of Passports has called on citizens to safeguard their passports both within Saudi Arabia and abroad, protecting them from damage, loss, or theft. The authority also advised against neglecting, pawning, or misusing passports, and recommended keeping them in secure locations.

The directorate explained that if a passport is lost, damaged, or stolen within the Kingdom, citizens should file a report using the 'Report Saudi Passport Loss' service on the Absher platform.

It added that if a passport is lost outside the Kingdom, citizens should promptly notify the nearest Saudi mission and visit the passport authority upon returning to Saudi Arabia to complete the necessary procedures.
