Civil Defense issues early warning for Abha and Khamis Mushait

Saudi Civil Defense has issued an alert via the National Early Warning Platform for residents of Abha and Khamis Mushait, warning of a potential threat and urging the public to follow official safety instructions.

Authorities emphasized the importance of remaining calm and adhering to guidance, advising people to immediately move to the nearest safe place inside buildings or interior rooms away from windows, and not to leave their homes or buildings until the danger has passed.

Civil Defense also warned residents to avoid open areas, glass, and windows, and to stay away from balconies and rooftops. Those outdoors are advised to enter the nearest building or take shelter behind a solid barrier.

The instructions stressed the need to avoid gathering or taking photos, stay away from hazardous locations, and, if driving when a warning is received, to pull over safely away from bridges and tall buildings.

Authorities urged the public to call the emergency number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (998) in other parts of the Kingdom if any danger is observed, and to follow instructions issued through official channels.
