Nine arrested in Jazan for smuggling 200 kg of qat

Border Guard ground patrols in the Al-Daer sector of Jazan region have arrested nine individuals of Yemeni and Ethiopian nationality for violating border security regulations and attempting to smuggle 200 kilograms of qat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard’s official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed, and both the detainees and the seized contraband have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions, as well as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995, or by email at [email protected].
