Health minister thanks leadership for approving national emergency safety policy

Minister of Health and Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Fahad Al-Jalajel, expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman following the Cabinet’s approval of the national policy to enhance emergency safety in public places and workplaces.

Al-Jalajel said the move reflects the leadership’s ongoing commitment to the health and safety of citizens, and demonstrates its dedication to strengthening emergency preparedness, improving quality of life, and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The minister noted that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority led the development of the policy in partnership with several government entities. The initiative aims to raise emergency readiness, improve healthcare outcomes, reduce complications from emergency cases, and promote community awareness and first aid training to help save lives.

He added that the health sector continues to work with various government agencies to develop integrated and sustainable national policies, as part of the Ministerial Committee for Health in All Policies, to support collaborative efforts and enhance public health and prevention.
