Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has awarded flynas, the world’s leading low-cost airline and the first in the Middle East, the 2026 Silver Corporate Social Responsibility Award in recognition of its efforts to adopt and implement initiatives with lasting social, environmental, and cultural impact, and for strengthening its contribution to society through a results-driven approach to social responsibility.

The honor was presented to flynas during the second International Social Responsibility Forum, organized by the Ministry in Riyadh on October 5 and 6 under the theme "From Commitment to Impact." The event brought together over 3,000 participants and more than 100 speakers across 40 panel discussions.

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi presented the award to Walid Awadhah Al-Ahmad, flynas General Manager of Corporate Communications and official spokesperson, during the 2026 Corporate Social Responsibility Award ceremony, which was held under the Minister’s patronage and attendance.

The company stated that this recognition reflects flynas’s commitment to making social responsibility a core part of its operations and community engagement, integrating social responsibility and inclusivity principles into its sustainability program, which supports initiatives with a lasting impact on society, the environment, and the economy. This is achieved in cooperation with various government agencies and international and local organizations specializing in social and charitable work, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The award underscores flynas’s success in advancing institutional social responsibility and strengthening sustainability principles in its initiatives. The national carrier is the first airline in Saudi Arabia to launch training programs for its crews in sign language and in serving passengers on the autism spectrum. It is also the first low-cost airline in the Middle East to join the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Flynas, the world’s leading low-cost carrier and the first in the Middle East, is the first airline listed on Saudi Arabia’s main stock market (Tadawul). It operates over 2,000 weekly flights to more than 80 domestic and international destinations in 38 countries via 156 routes, and has carried 110 million passengers since its launch in 2007. The airline aims to expand to 165 destinations as part of its growth strategy aligned with Vision 2030.
