Qasr Al-Hukm Palace opens to visitors for Saudi National Day

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City and the Riyadh Governorate will open the doors of Qasr Al-Hukm Palace to visitors through the "Tour of Qasr Al-Hukm" event, taking place from September 23 to 26, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., in celebration of Saudi National Day.

The event offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore one of Riyadh’s most significant historical landmarks and to discover the palace, which for over two centuries has witnessed key moments in the political, administrative, and cultural development of Saudi Arabia. It has served as a seat of governance and administration, and as a meeting place for citizens and leaders.

Qasr Al-Hukm is closely linked to major milestones in the history of the Saudi state, from the era of Imam Turki bin Abdullah to King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, who resided in the palace for nearly three decades, making it a central part of the capital’s historical journey.

The tour includes several stops combining history, documentation, and live experiences. Among the highlights is the "Salman and Riyadh" exhibition, featuring more than 70 rare photographs documenting the leadership and administrative journey of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, his role in Riyadh’s development, and his contributions to the city’s urban, cultural, and economic growth.

Visitors will have a rare chance to enter various wings and corridors of the palace, including the office of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the office of the Governor of Riyadh, the grand reception hall and its adjoining majlis, the main dining hall, and several other rooms and landmarks that reflect the palace’s historical significance and ongoing role in the city.

To enrich the visitor experience, the event will feature designated photography areas for guests to document their visit and capture moments from their tour of the historic palace. Souvenirs will be distributed at the end of the tour, and a signature wall will be available, allowing visitors to write their impressions and wishes for the Kingdom, symbolizing the enduring bond between leadership and citizens.

The "Tour of Qasr Al-Hukm" event is part of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and Riyadh Governorate’s efforts to raise awareness of the capital’s history and landmarks, open historical sites to the public, strengthen national heritage ties, and highlight the legacy of leaders who contributed to Riyadh’s development throughout its history.
