Najran municipality intensifies environmental sanitation in 30 western districts

Najran Municipality has intensified environmental sanitation efforts in 30 districts west of Najran city, launching a field campaign involving comprehensive and household spraying to reduce pests and insects and improve public health.

The campaign utilized three spraying methods—ultra-low volume, standard mist, and thermal fogging—carried out by on-foot field teams and specialized vehicles to reach all targeted locations and boost the effectiveness of pest control operations.

The initiative resulted in the treatment of 209 homes, 21 government facilities, and 14 parks, following a field plan aimed at enhancing prevention and limiting the spread of pests in residential and public areas.

Targeted districts and campaign scope

The campaign covered the neighborhoods of Aba Al-Saud, Bani Salman, Al-Okhdood, Al-Qabel, Al-Hadn, Salwa Al-Hadn, Al-Safa, Al-Aan, Zur Al-Harith, Dahdah, Al Abu Ghabar, Al-Batha, Maqan, Oweira, Al-Makhba, Marata, Al-Shabhan, Al-Ghaida, Shaab Baran, Al-Mawfaja, Al-Husain, Shaab Rair, Al-Qasoom, Al-Hamar, Al-Jarbah, Nahouqa, Naheqa, Zur Wadi’ah, Zur Al-Ja’rah, and Zur Al-Amari.

In this context, the municipality stated that spraying and pest control activities are part of an ongoing field program implemented according to approved plans and programs, aiming to raise prevention levels, enhance public health, and improve quality of life in the region.
