Al-Ahsa Municipality conducts over 73,000 inspections in H1 2026

Al-Ahsa Municipality, through its General Directorate of Monitoring and Compliance, intensified field and regulatory efforts in the first half of 2026 as part of its plans to enhance adherence to municipal and health regulations and improve the safety of products and services provided to consumers.

The municipality stated that its inspection teams conducted 73,221 field visits, covering 29,134 health and commercial establishments across cities and towns in the governorate. The aim was to ensure compliance with municipal laws and regulations, and to monitor the implementation of health, safety, and quality requirements.

Violations detected and unsafe products destroyed

The municipality noted that these inspections led to the detection of various violations, which were addressed according to approved legal procedures, with necessary measures taken to rectify the status of non-compliant establishments.

It added that 17 joint and intensive field campaigns were carried out, targeting activities directly related to consumer health and safety, as well as sites and establishments requiring ongoing regulatory oversight. These campaigns resulted in the destruction of 21,396 kilograms and 2,002 liters of materials and products deemed unfit for consumption or in violation of health regulations.

The municipality urged business owners and workers to adhere to municipal and health regulations, promptly address any issues, and emphasized that inspection tours will continue across all sectors, with legal measures applied to violators.
