Saudi Arabia reaffirms full support for Yemen, vows to counter Houthi attacks

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s full support for Yemen through the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, backing the Yemeni government’s efforts to restore authority across the country, reestablish stability, and confront attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia, which has chosen chaos, destruction, and threats to the Yemeni people and the region.

Speaking at the opening of the third year of the ninth session of the Shoura Council, he also reiterated the Kingdom’s firm position in supporting Sudan’s unity and stability, preserving its legitimate institutions, and sparing its people the tragedies of war and destruction.

He added, “We affirm that we are making every possible effort to de-escalate tensions and support diplomatic solutions without any compromise to our security, and we will not hesitate to respond firmly to any threat or attack targeting it.”
