Yemeni national arrested in Jazan for trafficking 266 kg of qat

Police in Al-Dair governorate, Jazan region, have arrested a Yemeni national for violating border security regulations and trafficking 266 kilograms of the narcotic plant qat.

According to a statement from Public Security on its X platform account, the suspect was detained, legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995, or by email at (Email:[email protected]). All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without any liability for the informant.
