Over 270,000 students in Taif celebrate Saudi National Day

More than 270,000 students celebrated Saudi National Day across over 1,700 schools under the General Directorate of Education in Taif, joined by educational staff and parents, through a series of national programs and events that highlighted the Kingdom’s unification, showcased its development achievements, and looked ahead to its ambitious future.

The events, held under the slogan "Pride in Our Nature," included educational, sports, scouting, technological, and community activities aimed at strengthening values of loyalty and national belonging, fostering pride in the Kingdom’s history, symbols, and accomplishments, and providing students with opportunities to express their patriotism and showcase their talents and creativity.

Programs featured interactive and educational activities spotlighting the journey of unification and progress, as well as achievements in various educational and developmental fields. Initiatives also encouraged community and volunteer participation, supporting collaboration between schools, families, and the wider community to instill national values and nurture students’ sense of initiative.

Director General of Education in Taif, Dr. Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, said the National Day celebrations embody feelings of loyalty and belonging to the nation, and strengthen students’ pride in its history and achievements. He noted that national programs and events provide platforms for students to showcase their talents, initiatives, and community involvement, and reinforce their role in making a tangible national impact.

Al-Ghamdi called for continued efforts to foster patriotism and service to the nation, praying for the Kingdom’s safety, leadership, security, pride, and prosperity, and for the success of its sons and daughters in achieving its aspirations.
