Civil Defense declares end of threat in six Saudi cities, including Yanbu

Saudi Civil Defense announced on Tuesday that the threat has passed after earlier warnings of potential risks in six cities, including Yanbu—the Kingdom’s main oil port on the Red Sea, where millions of barrels are loaded daily.

The Civil Defense said the danger has now subsided in Jeddah, Abha, Jazan, AlUla, and Taif, after these areas had received emergency alerts.

Authorities urged the public to remain calm and follow official instructions, advising people to stay indoors, move to an internal room or a safe area away from windows, and not to leave their homes or buildings until the threat had fully passed.

Guidelines also included avoiding open areas and glass, and not standing on balconies or rooftops. Those outside were advised to enter the nearest building or take cover behind a solid barrier.

The Civil Defense further stressed the importance of avoiding gatherings and refraining from taking photos, and to keep away from hazardous sites. If a warning message is received while driving, motorists were advised to pull over safely away from bridges and tall buildings.
