Citizen detained for illegal camping in Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have apprehended a citizen for violating environmental regulations by camping without a permit in the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve. Legal procedures have been taken against the individual.

The forces clarified that camping in forests or national parks without a permit carries a fine of up to 3,000 riyals (SAR). They urged the public to report any environmental or wildlife violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other areas of the Kingdom. All reports will be handled confidentially, with no liability on the informant.
