Prince Faisal bin Bandar Award for Excellence opens fifth cycle applications

Supported by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, chairman of the board of trustees of the Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Award for Excellence and Creativity, Secretary-General Dr. Naif bin Abed Al-Zarae announced the launch of the award’s fifth cycle for 1448 AH/2026–2027, with applications and nominations now being accepted from Sunday, 17/03/1448 AH (August 30, 2026) until 15/07/1448 AH (December 24, 2026) via the award’s official website.

The secretary-general invited interested applicants to review the eligibility criteria and requirements for their category and to complete their submissions within the specified period.

This cycle continues the award’s mission of supporting excellence and creativity, encouraging individuals and institutions to foster a culture of quality, innovation, and distinction, and highlighting inspiring national role models across various fields.

Dr. Al-Zarae emphasized that the continuation of the award into its fifth cycle reflects the ongoing support and attention from Prince Faisal bin Bandar, as well as the award’s role in promoting positive competition and embedding values of excellence and creativity in society.

Dr. Naif bin Abed Al-Zarae said:

He added:

He explained that the award, through its various branches, aims to provide a platform for achievers to compete according to specific criteria and conditions, comprising three main branches:

First: Institutional Excellence
Includes the category of outstanding non-profit entity and outstanding industrial entity in the circular economy.

Second: Professional Excellence
Includes the categories of distinguished university professor, outstanding teacher, outstanding military personnel, and distinguished administrative employee.

Third: Student Excellence
Includes the categories of outstanding university student, outstanding high school student, and outstanding gifted student.

The secretary-general stressed that the diversity of branches and categories reflects the award’s commitment to expanding recognition of excellence and providing opportunities for various talents, competencies, and outstanding initiatives to participate and showcase their achievements.
