Saudi Arabia welcomes US decision to remove Syria from terrorism sponsors list

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry has welcomed the United States’ decision to remove the Syrian Arab Republic from its list of state sponsors of terrorism.

In an official statement, the ministry extended its congratulations to the government and people of Syria on this development, wishing the country continued security, stability, and prosperity, as well as further progress in reconstruction and development to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people.

The ministry added that Saudi Arabia reaffirms its support for positive steps taken by the Syrian government to enhance the country’s security and stability, contribute to building state institutions, and fulfill the Syrian people’s hopes for a more stable and prosperous future.
