Saudi environmental forces detain citizen for grazing camels in King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve

The Special Forces for Environmental Security apprehended a citizen for violating environmental regulations by grazing 15 camels in prohibited areas within the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve. Legal procedures have been taken against the individual.

The forces stated that the penalty for grazing camels is a fine of 500 riyals (SAR) per animal. They urged the public to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without any liability for the informant.
