US Secretary of State Rubio: Saudi Arabia a key partner, nuclear deal logical

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has emphasized that "Saudi Arabia is an important strategic partner, and it is logical to reach a nuclear agreement with the Kingdom."

Rubio noted that "the Kingdom is seeking nuclear capabilities for peaceful purposes," according to Al Arabiya.

Saudi Arabia and the United States have signed an agreement on cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, as well as a bilateral nuclear safeguards agreement. This step establishes a legal and strategic framework for civil nuclear cooperation between the two countries and strengthens their longstanding partnership in energy and advanced technologies.
