Syrian resident arrested in Eastern Province for selling local firewood

The Special Forces for Road Security in the Eastern Province have arrested a Syrian resident for violating environmental regulations after he was found in possession of local firewood offered for sale. The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities.

This action comes as part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to monitor the marketing of local charcoal and firewood within cities, governorates, and on intercity roads, as well as to address unauthorized advertisements for such activities on various platforms.

Public Security, via its account on the X platform, urged the public to report any cases of environmental or wildlife violations by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (996) or (999) in other regions of the Kingdom.
