flynas launches first direct flights between Riyadh and Kochi

flynas, the leading low-cost carrier globally and the first in the Middle East, has celebrated the launch of its first direct flights between Riyadh and Kochi, India. The inaugural event took place at King Khalid International Airport on September 2, attended by representatives from flynas and Riyadh Airports Company.

Passengers on the first flight were welcomed with gifts during the launch ceremony, marking the start of the new service. flynas will operate three direct flights per week between Riyadh and Kochi, expanding travel options for passengers and strengthening air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and India.

Kochi, located in the southern Indian state of Kerala, is one of the country's major coastal and commercial cities. The launch of direct flights is part of flynas' expansion in the Indian market and its efforts to enhance its international network, supporting travel, tourism, and economic exchange between the two countries.

With the addition of the Riyadh-Kochi route, flynas now operates a total of 39 weekly flights between Saudi Arabia and India. The airline offers services from Riyadh to six Indian cities: Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Calicut, Mumbai, and Kochi, as well as weekly direct flights between Dammam and Lucknow.

The introduction of direct Riyadh-Kochi flights aligns with flynas' strategic growth and expansion plan, launched under the slogan "We Connect the World to the Kingdom." This supports the National Civil Aviation Strategy, which aims to connect Saudi Arabia to 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 150 million tourists annually by 2030, as well as the Guests of God Program to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques.
